The history, going back almost 100 years, comes from a long-standing service of Jefferson City and the surrounding areas of Cole, Callaway, and Boone counties. It all started with A.J. Rackers serving homes and businesses to keep them comfortable year-round. A.J. Rackers sold, installed, and repaired heating and air conditioning equipment and later turned it over to his family, which later became Nick Rackers Heating & Cooling, Inc., back in May 1986.

Nick continued with his family and a great team of people, and the heating & cooling company is known today as Aire Serv Heating and Air Conditioning when he decided to retire and pass it along in 2003. Today, the business is run by third-generation leadership of Travis Rackers (Nick’s Son) and Rob Sachse (Nick’s Son-In-Law). As most families work together and learn from the ground up, Ethan (Travis’ Son) has joined and is a vital part of the team, which makes the company a four-generational company – unheard of in today’s world.
